Q'eros homes are simple and often made of stone and clay with thatched roofs. They typically consist of a single room that serves as both a living space and a kitchen. Cooking is done over an open fire, and homes are heated with small wood-burning stoves. Because of the harsh climate at these high altitudes, homes are often built with thick walls and small windows to keep out the cold.
