The Q'eros
In October 2022, I spent 5 days with the indigenous people of Q’eros in one of the most remote places of the Peruvian Andes. Q'eros are considered to be the “último ayllu inka”, or the last Incan community of Peru, and have for the most part managed to maintain their traditional way of life despite the influences of modernization.
This series is an homage to the Q'eros community living in harmony with nature as well as an important reminder for all of us to protect indigenous communities like these around the world. You can read my full story on the Q'eros here.
For each of my Q'eros prints being sold, I am donating 10% of the net proceeds to Willka Yachay, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the indigenous community of Q'eros thrive in the modern world.
